General Laborer in Weld Shop – Benzonia, MI location
Position available for a general laborer in our welding and fabricating shop at the Benzonia location. Need to be able to interpret provided blue prints, read a tape measure and run a band saw. Must be reliable and work well with others. This is a full-time position.
Essential Functions
- Read a tape measure
- Run a band saw
- Read prints and accurately make cuts from prints
- Operate tools and machinery necessary to prep steel for welding
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Physically able to stand and lift necessary equipment and parts
- Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane
- Prior experience and welding experience are preferred but not required
- Team player – must be able to communicate and work well with coworkers
Machine Assembly Technician – Benzonia, MI location
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machine Assembly Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team at our Benzonia location. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling complex machinery and industrial equipment with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that each product meets quality standards and safety regulations, contributing to the seamless production of innovative solutions. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, develop your technical skills, and be part of a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide assembly processes
- Making and installing custom hydraulic hoses
- Assemble mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment with accuracy
- Wiring custom controls and installation of electrical components
- Installing hydraulic components, engines, gearboxes etc.
- Set pressures, make adjustments during start ups
- Perform routine inspections of assembled equipment using schematics and electrical diagrams to verify functionality and safety
Experience using the following is preferred:
- Overhead crane
- Forklifts
- Data logging equipment
- General shop equipment
- Hand tools
- Power tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment assembly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
